We all like to believe that, during the holocaust, we would have been one of the awesome people who hid Jews and other groups targeted by the Nazis in their house. But it’s easy to prove this wrong. If you’re willing to go to jail in a scary regime, then you surely must be willing to be perceived as shrill and pedantic.

Today is Trans Day of Visibility. And the problems trans people face come from awful things that we cis people believe and act on. So anytime someone says something cissexist like a joke at the expense of trans people (they’re everywhere if you pay attention) be a killjoy and tell them to knock it off. It should be the easiest thing in the world to do if you’re willing to go to jail for hiding Jews.
