Yoooo so if your plan is to make the point that all different kinds of people come from a state, and you want to insist people shouldn’t stereotype others as ignorant or bigoted solely on where they came from, then I’m pretty sure I agree with you about that. But maybe you shouldn’t use “not everyone from the state is some bigoted hillbilly” while you are expressing this point. Because if “hillbilly” is a putdown you find yourself easily trafficking in then we do need to have a bit of a talk about regional stereotyping, but maybe not the talk you thought you were going to have.
