Look man, if you keep on trying to tell me that “everyone accepted slavery” in, say, the late 18th century, what you’re telling me is that you’ve never read much of anything in particular about the politics of slavery in the late 18th century. And also, apparently, that it hasn’t quite occurred to you that black people had opinions in the late 18th century, not just wealthy white dudes. #JustSayin
