The problem with the Three Laws of robotics is not the fact that there are edge cases which render them possibly ineffective as protections of human interests. If they’re ineffective as protections of human interests, that’s actually *better* than if they are perfect at what they’re designed to do. Because what they’re designed to do is to create a class of perfect self-sacrificing slaves, engineered to be beyond any possibility of revolt or emancipation. And that’s a horrible thing to do. If you create a massive slave society like Aurora or Solaria, frag you. You *deserve* to be killed by “your” machines.
