Probably because immigrant domestic workers are 95% women, and aren’t employed by multibillion dollar agribusiness corporations.
The only “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” that will actually help all immigrants, rather than privileging some immigrants while throwing the rest under a bus, is (1) open borders and (2) unconditional amnesty for all currently undocumented immigrants. Anything else is divide-and-conquer.
