Good, because just as the passive racists that sympathized with Darren Wilson must now reconsider their strategy on how to better formulate their argument(s) to Garner compared to Brown, so do those progressives who thought cameras would do any better work toward justice insofar as having camera funding be something of an end-all solution. Below, many of these proposals wrongly assume it is a problem of just individual bad cops, rather than that policing itself has always been about legal privilege, social pressure, and racial control. But anything short of these proposals for “reform”, like body cam funding, is, I’m sorry to say, selling both POC and these state of affairs short.
