So last Friday, I posted how I saw the Spartacist League on campus and how I really can’t take them seriously as a communist party or, seriously at all.
THEN, Last night I get invited to a “Revolution Club” meeting, so I dig a little further and ask if they’re a party–or perhaps influenced by one. No, they’re not a party, they say–I press a little more, and I’m told that they are given guidance by The Revolutionary Communist Party..so I think to myself “Oh shit. Could it be them? The earnest followers of BOB AVAKIAN?” YO! Yes! IT IS THEM! WTF! I’m surrounded by Sparts and cult followers..
I know I sound like a sectarian asshole and I guess when it comes to these folks, I am.
ALSO, there’s an event with Cornell West AND Bob Avakian–is Cornell West in the RCP? Justin Ponkow—what do you know?
