“Ersula Ore, a professor of English, was walking in the middle of College Avenue near Fifth Street in Tempe on May 20 when an ASU police officer approached her, according to court documents.
“Ore refused to provide her driver’s license after she was asked multiple times, ordered to present it, and warned she would be arrested if she failed to present her license, police said.
“Ore [allegedly] resisted arrest by refusing to place her hands behind her back and instead [allegedly] wrapped her leg around the officer in an attempt to throw him off balance, according to the documents. . . .”
