http://ift.tt/1uAxyUw This entire dispute is unspeakably stupid. Of course the theater should be able to serve alcoholic beverages if they want to sell them, and their customers want to buy them. The Opelika city council has no counter-argument at all, except “We don’t see the point of this.” But they shouldn’t have to. If Opelika City Councilors don’t see the point of liquor at a movie theater, they don’t have to drink liquor at a movie theater. If they don’t like being in movie theaters where liquor is served, there’s another, completely liquorless movie theater a 10 minute drive away in Auburn where they can dry out to their hearts’ content. #AgainstPaternalism #EndProhibition
