Besides the famous assassination of Julius Caesar on the Ides of March, March 13 is also the anniversary of the 1881 assassination of Alexander II Nikolaevich Romanov, self-styled Imperator and Caesar of All the Russias, killed by the bombs of a group of Narodniks in an act of propaganda by the deed.
