Please note that police like Devallis Rutledge believe that they have a right to search for contraband in any car, at any time, without a warrant, including by breaking in and opening or “destroying” closed containers, as long as they personally think there is a “fair probability” that they will find something seizable, and you had the temerity to leave your car anywhere in the open on a public street.
