Dying Teen Is Being Denied A Heart Transplant Because He’s Had Trouble With The Law [via Facebook]
Thank you to anyone who helped spread this story. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta had decided to deny Anthony Stokes an opportunity to get a life-saving heart transplant, by political fiat, because of a “history of non-compliance.” Under pressure, the hospital has changed its decision:
“UPDATE: The hospital has reversed course and agreed to put Anthony on the transplant list. Hospital officials told the Stokes family that Anthony will be at the top of the list because his condition is so serious. They did not offer a reason for changing their minds about his heart transplant.”
Dying Teen Is Being Denied A Heart Transplant Because He’s Had Trouble With The Law
