‘Ana MarÃa GarcÃa, photographer for ELTIEMPO, has taken five days of disability leave after a cop assaulted her when she tried to do her job and take some pictures of an accident between two TransMilenio busses on Wednesday morning. . . . “I’m glad for the support that’s been offered me, the solidarity from the media, colleagues, and ordinary people, but I think of the people who don’t have a camera to record what’s happening to them and it’s worrying.” . . . “I was the only one trying to record what was happening, I wasn’t disrespecting anybody. All of a sudden the cop grabs me by the arm without saying a word. I asked him to let me go and he didn’t do it. Instead he yanked my arm and threw me down to the ground,” said the photographer. . . .’
