If I am from Guadalajara and the local Piggly-Wiggly offers me a job in stocking, and my family in the United States invites me to come live with them and the local Piggly-Wiggly offers me a job in stocking, what gives the government the right to demand a lump-sum tax from me in order to “let” me stay where I have been willingly invited?
